Interviews
Finally, it's here: our two-part Craig Hornerinterview. Yes, we've pinned down Horner, the star -- or, sadly, former star -- of Legend of the Seeker, the syndicated fantasy series on which he shared the screen with Bridget Regan, Bruce Spence, and Tabrett Bethell. Horner had been on vacation, a long one, following the conclusion of filming on season two of the show, but we caught up with him by telephone somewhere in Australia, where he was out and about with a mate. Horner graciously and ...

She recently discussed with me what she'll cherish most from her role and time on Legend of the Seeker, what fans can expect from the...

It's time, Legend of the Seeker fans, for the tears to flow and for "Tears" to air. That's to say that "Tears," the second-season finale will air this weekend in first-run syndication and -- according to series star Craig Horner -- it will almost definitely represent the series finale.

Updates
Legend of the Seeker Fans: Seeker ran a new episode “Eternity” the weekend of May 8, and the updated table for Season two’s ratings is still below the normal syndicated top 25 table. While it’s hardly a surprise and there is still no official word from Disney ABC Domestic Television, sadly, Michael Ausiello reports that Seeker will wrap production after season two and that there will not be a third season. E! Online confirms the report.

There’s been some confusion floating around the blogosphere about whether or not the syndicated fantasy show Legend of the Seeker has really been canceled.
To set the record straight, it has been. I’ve heard it directly from the studio itself. “It is true that we won’t be producing a third season,” they told me.
I didn’t write another article to this effect because I’d already reported the news once and, frankly, I didn’t want to throw cold water on the efforts by fans to ...
Last week I reported that some selectLegend of the Seeker fans had started a campaign to raise money to take out a trade publication ad calling for reconsideration of their beloved show's canceling (which has technically not yet been confirmed by ABC Studios). Today said ad has been featured in Variety Magazine.
On newsstands all across Los Angeles now, the full page ad says "WANTED: A new home for season three of Legend of the Seeker" and features silhoue...

Can an ad campaign save a canceled show? We're about to find out, because Legend of the Seekerfans, hearing that the series wasn't renewed for a third season, have raised nearly $10,000, and used some of it to purchase an ad in Daily Variety.
An additional ad in The Hollywood Reporter is supposedly also being contemplated.
Check out the ad below from today's Variety, and for more information, visit Save Our Seeker.
SyFy’s Craig Engler wrote a thoughtful response to the various “Save Our Show” campaigns that are presently underway on Boing Boing. In “How to REALLY save your favorite sci-fi show from cancelation” Craig writes:
So the biggest way you can have a real, meaningful impact – the way that will work every time if you can pull it off — is to find a way to get NEW viewers to try the show. And a LOT of new viewers. If a show isn’t successful with 900,000 viewers, it’s not goin...
Legend of the Seeker fans worldwide unite and organize a "Thank You/Please Reconsider and Save our Seeker" advertisement campaign in Variety in an effort to have the series, or quest, as fans call it, continue with a third season. The series was declined for renewal on March 4, 2010 by the Tribune Company, the series' biggest syndication distributor in the US. At the time ABC had not decided on the future of the series and while no official statement has been released, as of April 26th,... Continue reading ...

Season 3
Legend of the Seeker is in trouble. The action/fantasy series roughly based on The Sword of Truth novels by Terry Goodkind has seen two seasons, but may strike out at three. The show is produced by ABC Studios in first-run syndication and was dealt a critical blow when Tribune Station Group dropped it from numerous markets, significantly impacting its viewership area and ratings.
During its two-season run, the show developed a strong and fervent fan base, and they aren't taking the news lyin...
Save Our Seeker, the online campaign to encourage a third season of the syndicated fantasy show Legend of the Seeker, has let fans vote on which of four ads they should place in Variety — and fans have chosen a winner (below).
Last week, concerned by reports that the show had been canceled, Save Our Seeker solicited funds from fans to place the ad. More than $8000 was raised.
Question: The Legend of the Seeker fandom has launched an ad campaign. Could you write about our efforts? Here’s our website: www.saveourseeker.com —Karen Ausiello: I will on one condition: You make at least a $50 donation to help the forgotten victims of the Gulf Coast catastrophe by clicking here. Every time I see a photo of a bird drenched in an oil slick, I die a little inside.
