The search for the Stone of Tears may lead to actual weeping.
This has not been a good couple of years for fans of sci-fi and fantasy. Sadly, The Legend of the Seeker now joins Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse in the ranks of shows that reached their second seasons only to be unjustly canceled just as they really started to work their mojo.

The syndicated fantasy show Legend of the Seeker hasapparently been canceled, but fans of the program aren’t giving up on the possibility of a third season. They’re currently organizing a campaign to purchase an ad in a trade publication such as Varietyor Hollywood Reporter.
“The purpose of the ad is two-fold,” says Laura Ventura, one of the project organizers. “To thank the cast, crew and all those who made Seeker possible, an...
And so it has begun. Legend of the Seeker fans are out tosave their favorite show, which is apparently on the very edge of cancellation after just two seasons on the air. There's nothing official yet, actually, but the usually reliable Michael Ausiello reported the other day on his Entertainment Weekly blog, The Ausiello Files, that the powers that be are ready to put a sword in the cult-favorite fantasy show that stars Bridget Regan, Craig Horner, Bruce Spence, and Tabrett Bethell....
So many posts about how it's OVER. Why are we just saying OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.COM?! We need to keep going. Keep writing. LOTS of shows have come back from cancellation.
Sam Raimi’s track record hasn’t been all that great recently. He seems to be doing okay with Spartacus: Blood and Sand but his “Drag Me To Hell” movie was a dud and now his other fantasy television show, Legend of the Seeker, seems to have been dropped from the fall lineup. Rumors hit the Web this week that ABC Domestic Television is pulling the plug on the show, which is filmed in New Zealand, where Raimi and partner Rob Tapert once launched the mega showsHercules: The Legenda...
What does it take to kill a television show? A cold heart? An empty soul? A sinister predilection for evil? Or perhaps just a recognition that at the end of the day the numbers don’t add up? Television executives are people, too, but they are often lampooned for being cold, heartless, and machinistic. ABC Domestic Television executives are about to learn what it feels like to take the heat over a decision that was, almost without a doubt, based solely on numbers and economics.

The outlook had been bleak since last March, when many of Tribune Station Group’s markets dropped the syndicated series, which had been developed from Ter...

Mark Morton says:
RE: Legend of the Seeker - There are several news links discussing the suspension of Seeker on its Wikipedia page. I would show you the links, but this comment box kicks them out. Basically, what the news was that yes, the second season continued, but Tribune did not pick up the series for a third season, and several stations have already stopped carrying it.
I hope this clarifies the statement a little.April 9, 11:03 AM
The story of Joseph LoDuca’s rise in the world of movie and television soundtracks is a classic. Jumping in with both feet in 1982, he became involved with the trio of Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, and actor Bruce Campbell for the iconic splat-stick horror film Evil Dead. He developed such a strong bond with them that whenever any of them would request his services, he would jump at the chance. After paying his dues in the horror film circuit, the team graduated into epic televi...
